Reporting to: Greater China Finance Controller
Subordinates: 2 direct, 4 in total
Scope: Sales Company with business size over USD 400 mil per year
Responsibilities:
• Engage with sales company and business group leaders to support growth of business and profitability
• Set up, implement and maintain the Company’s financial and accounting systems/control in accordance to the Group Policy and Accounting Procedures, ensure full compliance to statutory book requirements
• Accurately prepare, analyze financial performance meeting the constant changing need of Sales Co. and timely submit financial reports to Corporate, Regional and Greater China office
• Direct and coordinate the annual budget and quality forecast with future focus across all departments , provide variance explanation against forecast/actual results to business groups and leaders
• Respond to special financial requests and analysis and communicate potential problem areas. Conduct financial reviews/analysis as requested
• Reviews and evaluates cost control on cost center level as well as on natural account level
• Ensure integrity and good control over company operation and minimize business and financial risk
• Responsible for SOX and internal control requirement, and continuously drive for improvement and efficiency over identified weakness
• Analyze divisions performance and other information, proactively recommend proposals for corrective actions, drive operations to improve in operational efficiency and control
• Collaborate with FSU (Finance Share Unit) to gain maximum accounting efficiency
• Take on as active leader or participant on location, division, cross-function, cross-division, or cross-region projects as requested
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, Government authorities, etc, ensuring ongoing and full compliance with local regulation and practice
• Act as Compliance officer for the unit
• Lead and develop the finance team
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree with major in accounting, CPA is preferred
• Over 10 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably with trading and manufacturing in MNC environment, including 3 years in similar management role
• Hands on person with initiative, analytical, good problem solving and excellent communication skills
• Familiar with US GAAP and SOX
• Experienced in dealing with complex commercial business issues from a finance perspective
• Strong leadership, proven ability to lead and coach a team
